Instant Professionalism Online Despite Yourself...with Ulitzer

I read an article by an author on Ulitzer.com and was amazed at the professional image it provided him. I immediately researched Ulitzer to see if there was yet hope for me. I am a technology blogger on the subject of mobile computing strategies. As I was doing research I came across the author Ian Thain, a fellow mobile computing blogger, who had a very professional website on Ulitzer (www.ulitzer.com). Professional envy motivated me to investigate this thing called Ulitzer. Ian's website looked like he had spent a great deal of time and money on it - all things I am short on.

Plone and Drupal: Different Approaches, Different Results

Plone and Drupal are two leading open source Content Management Systems (CMS). Both were recognized in the 2009 Open Source CMS awards, run by Packt Publishing. Both also have large installed bases and large developer communities. This is made evident by some quick searching on Google: A search for LinkedIn profiles that mention Plone (search for 'plone site:linkedin.com/pub/') turns up 1350 pages—a large increase from 500 results in 2006.

The World According to Twitter

Every night at 11 pm, I posted a new question to my followers on Twitter...Then, for the next two hours, I'd sit there on the couch, reading the replies and cackling like a deranged person...In the end, I posed 95 questions. They generated over 25,00 responses...As you'll soon see, this book's coauthors are some of the wittiest, sharpest, most interesting people on the Internet...And thanks to the unique, real-time, communications channel called Twitter, they've successfully completed a massive collaborative experiment." Pogue, David. The World According to Twitter, Black Dog & Leventhal publishers, 2009, pg. 12-13.

Reinventing Print Media - Yeah Right...

Strategy+Business is normally a very reliable and insightful publication but the recent article Reinventing Print Media was not up to their high standards. How could an article discussing - in depth - the future of print media leave out mobile tagging, MIR and AR? All three of these technologies will be vital to re-invigorating a print media industry that is on its last legs. All three provide ways to link print media to online content, promotions and naturally most important of all, new advertising revenue streams. As well as reaching out to a new, younger generation of print media consumers.

Create a User Guide With WordPress & Jing for Free

As my development team at MioWorks rounds the corner on a significant update, I thought it was important to have a user guide that explained the features and told the story of the MioWorks application. I started looking into online help systems around the open source ecosystem. It seemed that everything I found was either [...]

B2B Prospects in Funnels More Than Pipelines
