Levels Beyond Integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro

Levels Beyond, a leading innovator in video library management and workflow software, has developed an extension of its Reach Engine content management system for the popular Adobe® Premiere® Pro editing software, enabling Adobe Premiere Pro users access and control of library content directly from the editor. This plug-in, called the Reach Engine Access, is compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and the upcoming release of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.

Adobe’s Premiere Pro cross-platform editing software provides professionals the tools to edit digital content with true native format support. Utilizing the Reach Engine Access plug-in from Levels Beyond, users will have full access to their Reach Engine-managed video library, including custom metadata fields. Editors can drag and drop content onto their desktops as well as use the search, archive and annotation tools for Reach Engine, without having to leave Adobe Premiere Pro.

“Adobe has allowed unprecedented access via its Panel API, allowing creative workflows to remain where they belong, in the creative toolset. We believe Adobe is solidifying its place as an innovator and a strong challenger in the NLE space. With the Reach Engine Access panel, editors have access to entire video libraries and archives, locally or remotely, directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro. Workflows that were previously a pipe dream are becoming realistic with this level of integration,” said Danny Gold, vice president, strategy and solutions, Levels Beyond.

“Adobe is dedicated to providing our customers with the tools they need to maximize creativity and efficiency of their production workflows. By collaborating with leading, solution providers we can provide video professionals with the speed and flexibility they need to meet today’s tough production deadlines as well as face tomorrow’s technological challenges,” said Al Mooney, product manager for professional video editing at Adobe Systems Incorporated.

At NAB 2012, Adobe will reveal more about Creative Suite 6 video tools, which are expected to ship in the first half of 2012. Redesigned by and for editors, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 combines faster performance with a sleek, customizable user interface and powerful trimming tools that let editors work the way they want to.
