CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/02/12 -- The Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) is proud to once again announce a strategic partnership with FeedMagnet, providing social display feeds for the upcoming WOMM-U conference May 7-9 in Chicago at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. As part of the partnership, FeedMagnet has developed a rich and visual experience that will pull in a variety of social media feeds onto large display models at WOMM-U.
"FeedMagnet's capabilities allow all conference attendees to follow, in real time, what their peers, speakers, keynotes and industry professionals are saying via social," WOMMA President Suzanne Fanning said. "WOMMA's social media outlets were busier than ever during Summit 2011. Given our engagement numbers, it made perfect sense to partner with FeedMagnet once again."
WOMMA previously partnered with FeedMagnet at its annual fall conference, Summit, last November. During the conference, FeedMagnet's custom designed screen displays were fixtures in the hallways at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and on stage between speakers. As a result, social content poured in from participants and speakers. All in all, FeedMagnet and WOMMA gathered over 22,400 social mentions, 21,000 status updates, 600 photos and 228 checkins via Foursquare.
"We've really found a great partner in WOMMA and are excited about powering the social experience at WOMM-U," said FeedMagnet VP of Business Development, Melissa Young. "The WOMMA audience is highly engaged across a breadth of social channels and visualizing a curated stream of relevant content naturally encourages deeper engagement. WOMMA will also extend the reach of the social conversation by offering web and mobile experiences, allowing attendees to stay engaged in the conversation throughout the event and encouraging remote participation from non-attendees."
WOMM-U, the premier word of mouth marketing spring event, is set to host some of the most recognizable and influential brands in the world today. Built around the idea that content is driving today's successful marketing strategies, WOMMA secured Paul Adams of Facebook, Steve Knox from The Boston Consulting Group, Ed Keller and Brad Fay from the Keller Fay Group and numerous other industry experts to speak at the annual affair. Tickets are still available and can be reserved on the WOMM-U website.
