SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/22/08 -- IPEVO, a leading manufacturer of experience-driven Internet devices, today announced that its award-winning Skype and Voice over IP (VoIP) devices are now available at Fry's Electronics, a major technology superstore with 34 locations throughout California, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Nevada, and Arizona. Through the agreement, customers are able to purchase a wide range of IPEVO devices at both Fry's web and retail stores nationwide.
"IPEVO products help people connect, communicate, and collaborate with friends and colleagues around the world. With our longstanding experience in voice technology and emphasis in user-centric design, IPEVO products make placing VoIP calls as natural and easy as placing a regular phone call," said Ed Lucero, VP & general manager of IPEVO North America. "We are excited to have our phones on the shelves of such a well-respected electronics retailer."
Fry's is currently carrying the following IPEVO devices:
-- USB handset: The slim and compact design of IPEVO's USB handset has won numerous international design awards and recognitions. The phone delivers exceptional sound quality and seamless integration with Skype software.
-- Portable speakerphone: A three-in-one device, the portable speakerphone offers exceptional sound quality in both handset and speakerphone modes. The device can be used in an upright stance as a personal speakerphone for hands-free calling, flat on a desktop for group conferencing, or held in handset mode for private conversations. Light and compact, the portable speakerphone provides business quality conferencing over Skype for business users on the go.
-- Desktop Skype phone: This stand-alone phone gives users the freedom to place and receive Skype calls without a computer. The desktop phone is equipped with an RJ-45 Ethernet connector. It features a sleek black body with a black or white handset, an easy-to-read 2.4" TFT color LCD display, as well as a built-in speakerphone.
